Love of last night
Last night, we went to the Ben Taylor show at City Winery. It was amazing x 100. As the son of Carly Simon and James Taylor, it is no wonder this singer/songwriter blew the crowd away with his beautiful lyrics and incredibly sexy voice. Our fave song of the night was “Wicked Way”. Do yourself a favor and watch this YouTube video. You will be lining up to buy his new album in August!

Last night I went to join our Baby Buggy friends for the premiere of What To Expect When You’re Expecting and it was amaze! Cameron Diaz, Elizabeth Banks and Chris Rock are beyond funny (and we all know how much I love some good pregnancy hormone humor!) Jennifer Lopez is flawless, I mean honestly, does that woman age? And Cameron. Those Arms. Those legs. We worship! My favorite cameo had to be from Rebel Wilson who also played the super hilarious roommate in Bridesmaids. All moms will love this movie, but guys don’t fret as there is a ton of manly parts in there for you too. Go see!

Last night, We dressed the fabulously statuesque Amy Fine Collins from Vanity Fair in the
“Custom Jade Gathered Cap Sleeve Gown by Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet”. Eloise said she looked like a princess. We have to agree.

WEEKEND EDITION
Vikram Chatwal’s bday Saturday night! I am obsessed with naan bread and the food came on these plates of spices that were so pretty I might have to Pantone them. Fall color inspiration - Indian dinner spices? The toasts were beautiful, Eric and Marshall were studs in suits, Kim Kardashian looked like a golden goddess, Devon Aoki sat next to me and we reminisced about the days when we were her little sister’s age (the beautiful Ellie Hunter who will be starring in the alice + olivia holiday video!). Table dancing and sparkly glow-in-the-dark fun came later! The theme was black tie or best dressed, you guys judge!

WEEKEND EDITION
FGI
An evening of fun, friends and freezing cold legs down on Wall Street! Diane Birch looked as pretty as her amazing voice sounds and she got the evening’s coolest hat award. Jenne is the only mommy of three that can rock a strapless white gown on a Wednesday, Meredith Kahn gave me finger envy with her jewels, and Logan was surrounded for once with women who didn’t need his amazing styling expertise. Everyone had a moment of starstruck envy when our all-time favorite man crush, Bill Cunningham, had a mini photo shoot with me!
Here are a few pics Stace took last night at Sotheby’s art auction. Wearing her new fave earrings and the a+o Spear open back maxi dress, Stacey hung with Eddie Stern and Vito Schnabel. Pictured are the works of David Benjamin Sherry and Vito Schnabel.

alice + olivia was in full effect uptown last night at the opening of the Kokin hat store, hosted by Stacey Bendet, Amy Fine Collins and Lizzie Tisch.
We had so much fun, and were thrilled by the surprise appearance from Stacey’s gorgeous
friend Devon Aoki and her sister.

FOR THE LOVE OF LAST NIGHT
As you may have heard, one of our faves, the beautiful Beyoncé, performed at four sold out shows in NYC at the Roseland Ballroom. We were lucky enough to get to see show #3 last night! Here at the alice + olivia headquarters her new album “4” is on repeat, so this was an opportunity we could not pass up. Dressed in our best “single ladies” attire, we dashed from the office to stand in the entry line that wrapped around an entire city block. It was well worth the wait though. For the first hour DJ D-Nice got the crowd warmed up, playing our favorite old school hits. And then there was Beyoncé! She shined like an angel from heaven, as she dazzled the stage in a sequin number with a wind machine adding to her angelic appeal. We wore our alice + olivia Juliet wedges in leopard for added height, as the venue was packed to the brim in Beyoncé pandemonium. For two straight hours, she took us through her entire music career, ending with her most recent hits. It was like being at Beyoncé: The Musical! Even Lady Gaga was there to show her support of her friend, “Honey B”. Today’s alice + olivia Girl Props goes to Beyoncé, who sang and danced for two nonstop hours, all the while wearing 5 inchers.
FOR THE LOVE OF LAST NIGHT
I was lucky enough to get a sneak peak of LIFE HAPPENS last night and I have to tell you that it is a TOTAL MUST! Basically the movie is like Bridesmaids meets Three Men and a Baby, but its three ladies and a baby with great clothes, great music, brilliant one-liners and three of Hollywood’s hottest… Krysten Ritter wrote, produced and starred in the film which just makes me all the more in love with her. Three adorable, single twenty-somethings living together and having fun and partyingwhen Krysten gets pregnant. The baby daddy is pretty much a disaster – but then she meets the nice guy, falls for him, and lies about the baby saying its her roommate’s (Kate Bosworth who plays a crazy, feminist man-hating, sex-loving writer). Some highlights: boy finds out about baby when they have sex for the first time, someone’s nipples leak…I don’t want to give away any spoilers but I will tell you that this is definitely a movie worth stalking!
